I'm back from a brutal yet amazing Vans tour, I'll be posting a few shots from it over the next few days. This shot is us camping just outside Canberra.

Cappo Scum Pool

The Cappo pool perched on the cliffs in Adelaide was an amazing experience, 6ft deep shallow and 12ft face wall - quite the mission to shred. Here Ash Beer attacks the face wall on a frontal grind back in 94 I think.

This is rubbish, rubbish that gets washed into the end of Melbourne's Ports - high tides and westerly winds blow all the crap people throw in the gutter to this point [all the way from the bay]. Maybe we all should think twice about where we leave our balls...

Shane Cross

I was sifting through a few folders of negs and found this shot of Shane, I remember accidentally opening the back on the film back the day after the shoot which caused the light streak across the frame.

The Plane

So believe it or not these three photos were taken in 1998 at Adelaide's West Beach vert ramp which is right across from the airport. Some sukkas think these where photoshopped but hey I couldnt even use a computer back then...

The bottom image is taken by my friend Hogey on my Bronica medium format whilst I shoot a practice shot of Pat Roads doing a nice japan air - the day before.

The second shot is the actual shoot where Pat skated the ramp at 6.00am one morning to get the nice sunrise. We got the airport's flight schedule and would time how long each plane would take to get near us then I would yell out to Pat to drop in and start his run. Each plane was a different size and type so they all where going at different speeds. As you can see we never nailed the plane on sunrise, anyway the shot got published.

The last shot I took while we were packing up around 9am, the clouds came over and so did a massive 747 so I ran for the trusty EOS1nRS and fired off one frame to get this.

Last Thursday night was an amazing snowboard video premier, normally snow vids all look the same : ie boring as bat shit... this Volcom Gigi Ruff bizo is well worth watching, its insane. Oh yeah fuck that what about the party, now that was INSANE....Top work to Mark and JimBob, the Mariachi band and Rodney Marlin where perfect.

Amazing clouds late toady, some Mammatus mixed with other stuff I'm not sure of, a possible Supercell laced with a Storm shelf off the heads I cant really show you cause of the camera shake.
